The short answer

Housecall Pro has three plans: Basic at $59/month, Essentials at $149/month and Max at $299/month, billed annually. On top of that you pay card processing from 2.59%, and Max charges $35/month for each user beyond 8.

Basic$708$948$240
Essentials$1,788$2,268$480
Max$3,588$3,948$360

Extra costs to budget for

  • Payment processing: cards from 2.59%, bank payments 1%, check deposits in the app free.
  • Extra users: $35/month each on Max. The pricing page doesn't list an extra-user price for Basic or Essentials, so if you have 6 or 7 people, ask before you upgrade to Max.
  • Paid add-ons (priced separately, not on the pricing page): CSR AI call answering, Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, business coaching, Voice, vehicle GPS and dashcams, and websites.

Free trial, contracts and discounts

  • 14-day free trial with Max features. No credit card required.
  • No long-term contract required, per Housecall Pro's FAQ.
  • Annual billing saves $20 to $40 a month depending on the plan.
  • When I checked, the pricing page also showed intro offers: a discounted first month on Basic and Essentials, and a lower price for the first 3 months of Max if you book a demo. These change often, so check before you sign up.

Is Housecall Pro worth the price?

My take: it fits residential service crews of roughly 1 to 10 people who want booking, dispatch, invoicing and payments in one app without a long contract. The price is published, which ServiceTitan's isn't, so you know what you're getting into.

Where I'd look elsewhere

  • Solo and on a tight budget: Jobber's Core plan starts at $29/month billed annually. See Jobber pricing.
  • 5-person crew comparing prices: Housecall Pro Essentials and Jobber Connect both cost $149/month billed annually for 5 users. The difference is in features, not price.
  • Large shops with call centers and many techs often look at ServiceTitan, which prices per technician. See what owners report paying.
