Where Jobber falls short for trades shops
From Jobber's own pricing page, these are the gaps most likely to matter to an HVAC or plumbing business:
- Job costing starts at Grow: $149/month for 1 user, $229 for 5. Housecall Pro has it on every plan.
- No maintenance agreements or flat-rate pricebook listed on the pricing page. Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, Workiz and ServiceTitan list them.
- Crew scheduling is Plus only, the top plan ($399/month for 5 users).

2. Kickserv

Which to pick
My take, from the prices above:
- Solo: stay on Jobber Core. Nothing with a published price beats $29.
- 5 to 20 people, price first: Kickserv. The 5-user plan is $60 vs Jobber's $149, and the 30-day trial gives you time to test it on real jobs.
- HVAC or plumbing, 2 to 8 people: Housecall Pro. Job costing on every plan, flat-rate pricing at $149, and service plans on Max. See Jobber vs Housecall Pro.
- Maintenance agreements drive revenue: Housecall Pro Max, or get quotes from FieldEdge and Workiz.
